To create a favourable environment to attract investors, we have allocated the first funds to the Akmen\u0117 FEZ. This will help create new jobs and increase the region&#8217;s competitiveness,&#8221; said Au\u0161rin\u0117 Armonait\u0117, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The funding will be used for the construction and development of infrastructure in the northern and southern parts of the Akmen\u0117 FEZ.<\/p>\n<p>The funding was granted to 2 applicants: Akmen\u0117 District Municipality Administration received \u20ac1.3 million and Akmen\u0117 Free Economic Zone UAB received \u20ac2.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The sustainable investments will help Akmen\u0117 Free Economic Zone to install and modernise engineering networks, transport communications, overhaul infrastructure, build and reconstruct roads.
